Cookie Policy
Last updated: March 25, 2026
GateCtr uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the service is used. This policy explains what cookies we use, why, and how you can control them.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognize your device on subsequent visits. GateCtr uses both session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (stored for a defined period). We also use localStorage for client-side preference storage.
2. Cookies We Use
The following cookies are set when you use GateCtr:
| Cookie | Type |
|---|---|
| __session | Essential |
| __client_uat | Essential |
| NEXT_LOCALE | Functional |
| _vercel_analytics | Analytics |
| stripe_* | Essential |
3. Third-Party Cookies
Clerk sets authentication cookies scoped to app.gatectr.com. These cookies are required for the service to function and cannot be disabled without preventing sign-in. Stripe may set cookies during the checkout process for fraud prevention. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that identify you personally.
4. Managing Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Here is how to manage cookies in the most common browsers:
- Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari — Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data.
Disabling essential cookies (Clerk session cookies) will prevent you from signing in to GateCtr. Disabling functional cookies will reset your language and theme preferences on each visit.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice in the dashboard. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
